I have only recently read the Watchmen comic books. I couldn’t quite understand what the fuss was about. Every time I saw any images of Nite Owl I thought that it was a bad clone of Batman.

Well, it seems that suddenly my interest has been ignited (helped greatly by an entertaining read). The biggest problem with the movie adaptation is that of history. Alan Moore (the author of Watchmen) hasn’t exactly had a great deal of success with getting his comic books accurately portrayed (see V for Vendetta).

The trailer made us all pay attention. Can the movie live up to the quality that is the comic books? Incidentally, I thoroughly recommend them to read and would encourage you to seek them out long before Zack Snyder gets to show us his version of events.
