Whatever you say about the Jim Henson company, they are without doubt very popular. Oh what am I saying, there are masters. Over at the Muppet News Flash blog (of which I’ll admit that I’m a subscriber, they inform us that the Weinstein Company has signed up to feature a live action version of the great TV series Fraggle Rock. I am completely on board with this silliness and look forward to watching it when it gets released (in 2009). As long as they retain the catchy theme tune, I for one will be very happy.

Oh come on! There's only one theme tune better than Fraggle Rock and that was “Jamie and his magic torch”. Now we're getting really nostalgic all up in here!

Absolutely. I imagine if all the nutters in the world got together (including me), we could sue the producers of these programs and claim our sanity was compromised!

Haha! Willo the Wisp continues to give me nightmares (although without Kenneth Williams' narration might help somewhat).

The Flumps however seem a bit of a stretch. Perhaps another full length Womble film would be good!
