What Happens in Vegas: It’s actually quite good!

What Happens in Vegas.. stars Ashton Kutcher (The Butterfly Effect, Cheaper By the Dozen), Cameron Diaz (The Sweetest Thing, There’s Something About Mary) along with a supporting cast that includes Queen Latifah (Taxi, Hairspray) and Dennis Farina (Snatch, recently allegedly caught in LAX with a firearm).

Nim’s Island: A 4 out of 10 Movie Review (I’m feeling kind today)

Nim’s Island is a sickeningly cute ‘family movie’ starring Gerard Butler (300, Phantom of the Opera), Jodie Foster (an original child star of Freaky Friday, The Silence of the Lambs) and new child star Abigail Breslin as Nim herself (No Reservations, Definitely Maybe).

Cassandra’s Dream - A 4 out of 10 Movie Review

Cassandra’s Dream is the latest film to hit British shores from the very different Woody Allen. It is important to note that this review was mostly complete before I was aware that Allen had written and directed it. I thought I’d post the review unedited and add an additional comment to it at the end.

Is this the first Kristin Kreuk (In Chun-Li) outfit pic?

Some enlightening news today. I have been sent a tip that a photo of Chun-Li in an outfit pic exists on the net. To me, it just looks like she’s not wearing the outfit, but certainly donning the hairdo that we know and love. I for one, am really glad that Kreuk was chosen for [...]

DVD Review: No Reservations

If I had just included the title in this review, most would not recognise the film that I’m talking about. By placing the photo to the right, you immediately recognise it as that “overly sickly film with that awful kid from Nim’s island in it”. Well, that’s what I initially thought!

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Review - Bloody Awful!

When you watch the latest in the Indiana Jones series, you have a few expectations.

Snakes
A bad character obsessed with knowledge
Some mystical artefact that everybody wants
Indiana Jones whip being used creatively to justify the use of carrying one all the time
A beautiful girl at Jones’ side
Action

Chun-Li photo starring Kristin Kreuk

This is probably the most pathetic attempt at leaking information to the net. Surely if you are going to leak a photo of the iconic Chun-Li from the latest Street Fighter film (Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li), then make it one in the clothes we know here for. This pic could be from any [...]

Uwe Boll responds to the US distribution (or lack of it)

Uwe Boll, the German director of the upcoming movie (Postal)has responded to the US Distribution network responsible for the low numbers of theaters showing his latest film. You can read the transcript below, or here (on the official Postal site). For the record, I would love the opportunity to review this film. There’s nothing lie [...]

The Forbidden Kingdom: A 4 out of 10 Movie Review

Jackie Chan is a 54 year old man. This is clearly an indisputable fact and yet, he moves faster and more gracefully than most teenagers these days. Jet-Li has been quoted as saying “I have met Jackie Chan about 6 times up ’til now . . . and even though many people think we are [...]

Allan Quatermain and the Temple of Skulls: A surprising review

After the fiasco that was Speed Racer, it was decided that a change of pace was required (instead of a hospital visit). This change of pace came in the form of “Allan Quatermain and the Temple of Skulls”(forever more known as “AQATTOS”. If the title sounds mildly familiar to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of [...]
