I hated Spider-man 3. I thought it was basically the exact same story as its predecessors. This Scoop comes from Cinematical. James Vanderbilt has submitted a script to the studio which encompasses two films. Was I the only one that Spider-man went overboard with villains in Spider-man 3. The Butterfly effect was an okay film (depending on what ending you watched). You could see that Ashton Kutcher tried his best. However it wasn’t that good and certainly not enough for a sequel. Unfortunately, studio bosses have decided that it deserved two sequels as another one is planned for production. I expect this sequel will star no-one you’ve ever known will throw away the stories and rules of it’s predecessors and may actually have a chance. Only time will tell if this unnecessary sequel deserves another outing. I’m going to take a wild stab in the dark and suggest it doesn’t anyway! (source Moviesonline)

Some interesting speculation is occurring over the upcoming WIll Smith (and Jason Bateman) film Hancock. The Australian Premiere has been cancelled (according to Cinema Blend). They gone on to suggest a theory that could explain it unceremonious cancellation. It MAY have been cancelled, because the film is not ready. It MAY not be ready due to re-shoots of certain scenes. It MAY be that the film Hancock might be in serious trouble. This MAY be a lot of “mays”, but we are in the month of MAY so stop complaining. Did I say it was fact?

I’m really looking forward to Hellboy 2 The Golden Army (despite the trailers being cack). The first film was without doubt an instant classic. Unfortunately I only ever got the chance to watch it on DVD. I won’t make that mistake twice.

I have a problem with most documentaries that focus on teens. Trying to get genuine behaviour in front of the camera must be nigh-on impossible. If this is the case, then should we accept American Teen for what it is: a bunch of teenagers playing up to the camera. I hope not…I really do! It’s just hard for anyone to ignore a camera operator, sound engineer and producer whilst “attempting” to be normal. Nevertheless we’ll save the criticisms until we get a viewing. Enjoy:

Well the title says it all really. Laura Dern….Jurassic Park…. According to Hollywood.com she will be back reprising her role as Dr. Ellie Sattler. How many times are we supposed to sit through these? They should have stuck with the first one. The introduction of “Site B” was insulting to the viewer in that, it was not spoken about at all in the first film. They’re pulling an Agatha Christie on us dammit! This next film had better be based on the original island and nothing like the dumped screenplay of years gone by. Gun firing dinosaurs had better not feature Mr Crichton!

I have a problem. Why is the world obsessed with Gemma Arterton? She “starred” in St. Trinian’s (2007) playing the head girl and since then she has gone on to having a role in the upcoming Bond Film Quantum of Solace.

I may be in the minority here, but despite thinking St. Trinian’s was a “wrong” film, I actually thought one person shone out above the rest (over Colin Firth, Rupert Everett and Russell Brand) was the lead character: Talulah Riley. Now the fact is, you are most likely to not know this woman’s name because all marketing has completely ignored the fact that she was in the film at all. In fact if you buy the DVD (in the UK at least, you will find that only three names appear above the film’s title and they are Colin Firth, Rupert Everett and Gemma Arterton. Why has everyone forgotten this woman? I thought it might be random and perhaps fun to do a full on comparison of them both to argue who really should be acting in the Quantum of Solace. Does Gemma Arterton deserve to be in it? Bear in mind that these ratings are completely personal and in no way biased…..no really!
